November is a month to give thanks and enjoy family and friends. I have been blessed in the past few months with the ongoing support of family and friends as I started Guth & Associates. The support from my supporters has been overwhelming and humbling. Our company has been up and running for a couple of months and it has been quite a ride so far. We strive to provide personalized service to each of our clients and we are celebrating some early successes. Below you will find detailed information on our latest successes as well as current listings. Also, there is information and links to a couple of events and organizations that I am working with.
Again, thank you for your continued support and enjoy your holiday season. Happy Thanksgiving!
- 510 Devonshire in Champaign will become the new home of local high tech company, Sourcegear. Sourcegear will relocate from their current office in Downtown Champaign to their new home at the corner of Devonshire and Fox Drive. Sourcegear will occupy 5,000 square feet in the building and expect to move to their new home in early December.
- Scotty's Brewhouse. Scotty's will be opening in the spring, 2016 at Carriage Center on South Neil Street. I've known Scott Wise for over five years and have worked in those years to find the right location in Champaign for them. This restaurant will be an outstanding addition to the community and we were pleased to partner with Shapland Management and Coldwell Banker Devonshire Realty on this project. The following is a link to the press release concerning their opening: Scotty's to Champaign
Below is list and weblink to current listings offered at Guth & Associates. If you would like more information, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Prairie Crossing is located at Olympian Drive/Mattis Avenue/Interstate 57 in northwest Champaign. There are multiple, buildable lots available and would be great location for service retail, offices, light manufacturing or a hotel use. Olympian Drive has now been extended west to Duncan Road which provides access to US Rt. 150 and the west side of Champaign and to Mahomet. Olympian Drive is being extended to the east to connect with Lincoln Avenue in Urbana. Clearview Development along Mattis Avenue will break ground next year for the residential component of the development.
Look for a new retail development at 1904 S Neil Street, near Carriage Center and Hillcrest Center. A national tenant (to be named later) will occupy half of the building leaving 1,250 square feet of space available along the desirable Neil Street Corridor.
Prime retail space on Green Street is difficult to find, but 512 E Green, Suite B, will be available December 1, 2015. This space has Green Street frontage and 1,668 square feet of space. The space is near the new Marriott Towne Place Suites Hotel and across from Urban Outfitters. Only one block from the University of Illinois campus.
Looking to expand your business and want to be in the vibrant and growing Downtown Champaign area? 201 N Randolph could be the perfect home for your business. It offers a private entrance, private parking available, new windows, new HVAC, elevator, and walking distance to Downtown restaurants, retail and entertainment. Office has 6,785 square feet of space with some build out needed. 201 Randolph is across the street from the historic Virgian Theater and close to Westside Park.
Go Red for Women
I'm pleased to announce that I have agreed to be the chairperson of the 2016 Go Red for Women Luncheon, hosted by the American Heart Association on February 12, 2016 at the Hilton Garden Inn Conference Center. One in three women's deaths in the United States is from heart disease. More women die from heart disease than from all forms of cancer combined. Please consider supporting this great event and helping to raise dollars for research. If you are interested in attending or sponsoring the luncheon, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Check out the above link to the new You're Welcome CU marketing campaign supported by the Champaign County Economic Development Corporation, UI Research Park and various businesses in the community. The website is a wealth of information on why Champaign-Urbana is the place to be for high tech growth.
Many people ask me who is my associate. Well, if you read last month's blog, you know that my one and only associate is Bo, my 12 year old West Highland Terrier. Bo continues to have motivational issues as well as trouble maintaining focus in the workplace (too many squirrels). As I type, Bo is at the spa (groomer to most but Bo prefers spa day) as we thought we would try a different motivational tactic with him today.
As always, never hesitate to reach out to me. My goal is to provide amazing service to my clients while also helping to make Champaign-Urbana the best it can be.
I hope each of you will have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
